Baby Ballet for girls and boys twelve to twenty three months gently guides children in a playful way to dance, move, jump and run with harmony and grace. Young children will explore tempo, rhythm, and sound sound identification while listening to classical music.Age appropriate movement skills are created to improve children's large motor skills, coordination and balance as they discover and explore the world of ballet.
Toddler Ballet for girls and boys two to three years old will teach children rhythm and musicality while building self control and coordination. Class work is geared toward encouraging self-confidence, muscle strengthening and a joyful introduction to ballet concepts while promoting creativity and imagination.
Pre Ballet for four to five year olds teaches children balance, coordination and flexibility through petite variations. The children learn pre-position exercises that work on understanding the basic knowledge of turn out as an introduction to the barre. The Pre Ballet class will promote natural creativity, musical awareness, and the beginning development of the technical aspect of ballet.
Classical Ballet for girls six to ten year olds will begin the process of learning ballet vocabulary paired with comprehensive movement. At this age they will be practicing and using all positions in combinations at the barre. Through barre work the child will be able to identify and practice the movements of: plié, relevé, tendu, passé, battement, sautée and chassé. Center work will consist of petite variations while children are introduced to port-de-bras, and the basic understanding of turns and leaps. The ballet training the child receives at this age will give them a foundation to continue forward with their dance education.
